This Sonoran Desert property is near national wilderness & filled with saguaro, cacti, cholla & many native plants & boulders. Many active wildlife come to the backyard waterfall pond to drink water or lounge.
- Hikers & horseback riders - At the Cloudview Avenue parking lot, take path up to the Lost Goldmine Trail. It forks eastwards and the Hieroglyphic Trail heads north. Go past a gate & fence marking the edge of the Superstition Mountain Wilderness. Go up an inclined ridgetop & then drop down into a shallow wash at the mouth of Hieroglyphic Canyon. It's very rocky. Seasonal pools. Petroglyphs are somewhat faded. Official path ends & is often overgrown. The Superstition Mountain ridgeline is further up at about 4,600 feet. Don't go alone. Take cell phone & lots of water.
