HUGE $$$ Reduction! The rooms inside this Mediterranean Revival are large and beautifully appointed. The Foyer, LR and MB all share views to a central courtyard/patio. The Kitchen features large island and multiple work stations adjoining the family room with beamed ceiling and fireplace. The Master suite is beautiful with a step down area that features a closet for him, while the walk-in closet just off of the master's two-room bath, is large and fitted to accommodate everything from dresses to hand bags. On a quarter acre lot that backs to a horse ranch (check fridge for carrots). Sweet orange trees, covered patios and xeriscape plantings with grassy space for dogs/kids surround a large diving pool perfect for spending time with family and friends. Don't miss seeing this gorgeous home! The rooms inside this Hacienda-styled home are large, well-lit and beautifully appointed. The 2,630 sq. ft. feels spacious and comfortable, warm and inviting. The kind of home I just want to linger in and enjoy.
The foyer, Living room and Master Bedroom all share views through expansive glass doors to a central patio that might be the perfect spot for a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine. During most of the year, these doors could stay open to enjoy the breezes and sunshine that make our valley such a popular spot to call home. The dining room is connected to the living room and has its own set of sliders that lead to another outdoor covered patio and pool area.
These spaces feature a gorgeous carpet that reminds me of sisal with its open weave and sandy hue. As someone who's never been a fan of carpets, I found myself reconsidering it. There's a volume to the Living room that is so comfortable and so spacious, at the same time. This room is anchored by heavy beams across the ceiling and lit beautifully from above.
Just past the Dining room is the kitchen, spread flawlessly across the west side of the home. With large island and multiple work stations, the Cherry Wood cabinetry has been finished naturally and here it pairs perfectly with the granite counter-tops and chiseled edges of the island. This space is all about gathering. Whether it's family meals or holiday parties, the kitchen and adjoining family room with its rough-hewn beamed ceilings, fireplace and brick hearth will draw everyone into the warmth and hospitality that this space affords
Through the kitchen is the laundry, pantry and 3+ car garage.
Across from the public spaces are the bedrooms and baths, where beautiful features and finishes continue. Three large bedrooms and a smaller office/nursery with views into the front courtyard join two gorgeous baths to complete this side of the home.
Both secondary bedrooms are large well-lit spaces with ample closets - perfect for the kids or weekend guests. The main bath that serves these rooms also serves as the guest bath and it's perfectly finished with glass, stone and wood in keeping with the home's overall decor.
The master suite is exactly what I expected. A beautifully appointed retreat with a step down that separates the bedroom from a smaller sitting area. It's roomy - of course - but not the austere 1,500 square foot suites that builders were creating not so long ago. This is an intimate space that I find absolutely perfect to spend time in. The sitting area features an ample closet for him (along with a small refrigerator), while the walk-in closet just off of the master's two-room bath, is large and fitted to accommodate everything from dresses to hand bags.
With a lot size measuring in at just over a quarter acre (.28), this property is designed to be enjoyed and celebrated.
Beginning at the front curbside, three large clusters of Desert Spoon frame the entry with a flagstone landing and fountain in the center. There are other drought resistant plantings here, too - while two curved concrete park benches allow visitors to rest and admire the scent of the oranges blooming in the spring, or the unforgettable sunsets of winter. To the west are two driveways and the 3 car garages.
Past the front yard is a large courtyard surrounded by a knee-wall of stucco and brick. This area would be perfect for another seating area and could easily accommodate a fireplace or Latillo-styled canopy. But, either way this space features a large sweet orange tree and the turquoise-blue painted iron gates that welcome guests to the front entrance.
The west facing side yard holds recycling and trash containers and (nearer to the kitchen door) a small landing for bar table and stools. Continuing along the path, you'll enter the backyard, with a large covered patio and a gorgeous pool. Sub-patios of flagstone and crushed granite have been added over the years and xeriscape plantings burst with colorful blooms, butterflies and Hummingbirds each spring.
The back of the property isn't walled in concrete block, as one might expect. Since this property backs to a large irrigated pasture and ranch, the homeowners have opted to leave the cyclone fence intact so they could visit with the neighboring horses. Dusty, Midnight and Archer will happily accept a carrot from visitors (check the fridge for extras) and they will greet you each morning for any treats you might like to share.
The east-facing side yard houses the HVAC systems and extra storage for yard gear.
During the day, this home is bright and cheerful. A space that I didn't want to leave. I found myself just wandering and admiring the feel of each room - envisioning where my friends would sit and where my dogs would play. But, when the sun went down and the lights came on, the entire home radiated with a comfortable warmth that is hard to describe. It's this subtle feeling of "home" that comes - not from remodeling a space from top to bottom with all of the latest gadgets and finishes - but from actually spending time living in it and appreciating it.
I hope you'll agree. And if you do, maybe it's the next space for your family to call home.
