This is an unusual fixer upper. Was stuck together back in the 40,s and 50's by a local, renowned carpenter, parts of this structure he had built around Sierra Vista and the Fort before relocating to this spot. You will see examples of his fine wood work in several spots in this house. But you will also notice that there was a fire in this house, about 10 years ago. The then tenant fell asleep in a chair and got it smoldering away, fire department soon arrived and put out the little fire in the South room, so really not a lot of fire damage, but everything that was plastic sure melted down, and the whole interior was filled with smoke.
A local Tombstone Native, who grew up in this home and was related to the owner, just could not stand by and let it be boarded up, so she paid up---- so she paid up the Tax's owed, hired legal assistance to get the Deed transferred to there name, and would now hope some one will come along and blow life back into her Family's home. I see good and bad in this project, most of the Trusses and walls seem to survived the fire un-damaged, the Arch and built in furniture are spectacular, under the smoke film, the Lot is Huge, better then half an acre, with a Lush Gully cutting across one corner. The Kitchen and Bathroom running along the West Wall is not so nice and would need removed in my opinion, and this is where the Plumbing is run, not sure if you access more under the better part of the house or not. All the interior sheeting would need removed, and all wiring would need replaced as I suspect insulation is melted off much and nowhere near code. Once again in my Un-Processional opinion, buyer would need to do his own Due Diligence. If nothing else it is a great lot with power, gas and water already on site. Go take a look and see if it grabs you!
