If a perfect backyard is on your list, you can put a big heart next to this house right now! This 1936 3/2 Brick Tudor features a new pool with shallow-end beach entrance, one-car garage, covered Loggia, fountains, fruit trees, and custom-made fence/gates. So you may want to start planning your next pool party now! Add to all of that a DREAMY Attic Master Suite with clawfoot tub and views to the beautiful downtown skyline - An updated 2-room kitchen suite that BEGS to be cooked in and a main floor that is just gorgeous from one tip to the other. (Oh m'gosh you're going to FALL IN LOVE with the hall bath) This property is a 12, so c'mon out and take a closer look! Looking toward 1329 Latham from the street, you'd probably notice the immaculate, emerald green grass, straight-as-an-arrow pathway, and perfectly quaint, 1930s-era architecture looking right back at you. It's certainly charming for all those things, but step inside and you'll quickly discover that this house offers so much more than a pretty exterior. The current owners happen to work in the building and remodeling industry, and their 25 plus years of experience is apparent as you walk from room to room. Together, they painstakingly and lovingly restored this house, remaining period-correct whenever possible and maximizing square footage in ways only experts can. From reviving the original, gorgeous oak floors on the first floor to selecting paint colors from Sherwin Williams 1930s collection, the level of detail and research that went into this character-rich home is something you'll be hard pressed to find anywhere else. In fact, the home was a favorite during the 2015 F.Q. Story historic home tour, and we know you're going to love it, too. Let's begin our tour. Walk through the front door and you'll find yourself standing in the living room. The star of this space is the original, working gas fireplace, which features the original tiles at the front and a little, rediscovered nook above. The room is truly a welcoming space, and its easy flow into the kitchen and the dining room makes it perfect for hosting family and friends. Now, if you turn toward the right from the front door, you'll find a hallway with a bedroom at the end closest to you. This room, flushed with natural light, not only has private access in and out of the house, but also connects to a completely remodeled, period-correct, marble-laden bathroom. The bathroom can also be accessed via the hallway, and it's truly something special. It boasts built-in shelving that provides plenty of towel and toiletry storage, and the walk-in shower – complete with a built-in seat and additional storage nooks – makes for a luxe bathing experience. Walk to the other end of the hallway and you're met with a handsome wooden staircase that leads upstairs to a lofted area that, at one point, wasn't really habitable. Now it features a dreamy, magazine-worthy bathroom complete with claw foot tub and quaint built-ins, and a bedroom with a double skylight, roomy closet space, and a Juliette door that opens to tiny balcony (perfect for viewing fireworks, south mountain, or the city skyline). The entire upstairs has been outfitted with flooring that resembles the old oak found downstairs, and has been spray foam insulated to dampen outside noise and regulate temperature. Back downstairs, you'll find the dining room, the kitchen and a third bedroom. This third room works as a proper bedroom, but would also make for a lovely second living space, office, or even library. The kitchen feels spacious and open thanks to the way it's been remodeled, which means it's ready for you to come and make some cooking memories within it. The back cupboards, which reach the ceiling, are all original, and a second unit of cupboards above the stove was added to create additional storage space. For more space yet, a kitchen-adjacent room (which has access to the back yard) has been renovated to include more counter space, a deep sink, and a washer and dryer. Our favorite kitchen detail, though, may be the exposed, original brick corner. The current owners found it when remodeling, and decided to keep it there for character. To further add to the charm, they added a wood stove and pipe where the original would have been. The dining room, which flows seamlessly into the kitchen, has a ton of charm, as well. There are original fixtures and details throughout (including an original telephone nook), and built-in storage for your dining wear and bar supplies. The dining room looks out into the gorgeous backyard, which is where we're headed next. If a perfect backyard is on your checklist, you can cross that item off for this home right now. This spacious lot features a new pool, added in 2014, with a shallow-end beach entrance and two fountains on either end at the back. There's also a two-car garage, a huge, covered lounging space, a fountain, fruit trees, and custom-made fencing and gates. You may want to start planning your move-in day pool party. It doesn't matter where you're at – sleeping in the skylight loft, taking a bubble bath in the dreamy claw foot tub, nestled against the living room fireplace, cooking in the renovated kitchen, or lounging in the pool – every square inch of 1329 Latham will make you feel like you're home sweet home.
