Gorgeous south-facing soft contemporary on large lot with 45-mile wide views of mountains and city lights, ranging out over sixty miles in the gated community of Desert Mountain, in north Scottsdale, AZ. Never listed before, this elegant custom home is being sold with a Home Warranty and fully furnished by its original owners with newer designer furniture. Adjoining Lot #18 available for purchase. Exceptional artistic finishes abound (such as hand carved doors with inlaid copper & zinc and vaulted, wood ceilings). Several hundred exotic cacti, among the best in Desert Mountain, grace the property. This home is beautiful, functional, and exudes ''grace and class''. The lower level has two bedrooms and a living room so guests can have their own privacy. The back patio has a big, sparkling beautiful pool that was drained, high pressure power washed to restore the original texture and spa, a large, circular covered area, and a lot of shade from a very large mesquite tree. The gourmet kitchen enjoys splendid views of mountains near and far, city lights, and sunsets, and is equipped with marble countertops, backsplashes, a large center island and a banco breakfast/tv nook. The three-car garage is over-sized and has an extra-large storage room with built-ins and workshop space. The home boasts two master suites, with an office area within the main master, and the main master's shower having great views of downtown Phoenix. A second refrigerator is in the pantry, near the kitchen. The home shows off art spectacularly well, and seven pieces of the sellers' high-quality hanging art are available on a separate bill of sale. Desert Mountain is a thirty-four year-old, world renowned, 8,200 acre, recreational development featuring a twenty-mile long private trail system in mountains at the back of property for all residents, and an optional private club with seven major clubhouses, nine different dining venues, six eighteen-hole championship golf courses; one eighteen-hole par-3 course, and four practice ranges, all for the private enjoyment of the Club's members. Membership is not included in the purchase price, but they are available through the Club, if desired. The "Sonoran Clubhouse" is the Club's fabulous swim (three pools), tennis (nine courts, including one grass, five Har-Tru, and two cushioned hard courts), fitness, spa, pickleball (six courts), bocce (two courts), and croquet facility (two courts). It also has a popular indoor/outdoor restaurant. The entire facility is virtually brand-new, having been completely renovated during 2016 and 2017 at a cost well in excess of $12,000,000. It is now perhaps the premier facility of its type in the entire Southwest. The other clubhouses are special in their own rights and combine to provide a terrific range of experiences for the members. Desert Mountain is a place of surpassing scenic beauty. It is successful, too, with about 1,900 finished homes ranging in size from 1,800 to over 20,000 square feet and in price from about $700,000 to over $10,000,000. Over sixty homes are under construction. Individual owners have invested over $30,000,000 in their homes, and over $3 billion has been invested overall. It has attracted full-and part-time residents from all over North America and western Europe, most of whom seem to have made "having fun" a key priority in their lives. One thing that makes a lot of them happy is real estate taxes that are strikingly lower than what they are used to, particularly if "home" is or was in the Northeast, Midwest, or California. The weather is famously sunny. Our risk of natural disasters is extremely low. Being higher and somewhat removed from the city means the stars are bright at night, the air typically much cleaner, and the daytime high temperatures about ten degrees cooler than the Valley floor, every day of the year. Summers are most enjoyable since it only gets over 100 degrees about ten or twelve days a year here, compared to ninety days at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. And, the temperatures drop fifteen to twenty degrees at night during the summer, a significant difference from life further "down the hill". The lack of humidity means 95 degrees is very comfortable, if you are sitting in the shade. So, being in Desert Mountain on a year 'round basis is a very attractive proposition. Day-to-day shopping needs for Desert Mountain owners are well-handled within about a ten-minute drive by the merchants in the nearby towns of Carefree, Cave Creek and Scottsdale. There are roughly 70 restaurants and bars within about sixteen minutes' drive. Our area is famous for world-class shopping, major league and collegiate sports, terrific air service, and a wide variety of cultural attractions. Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport is routinely forty minutes away from the Front Gate. Desert Mountain is within two and a half hours by car of normally excellent snow skiing in Flagstaff and offers easy access to the entire American West, including San Diego, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, and a plethora of unbelievably beautiful places in Southern Utah. "Paradise" doesn't overstate it. Thanks for your interest in this home. We look forward to showing it to you someday, helping you learn about the community, the Club, and the area, and helping you visualize what life here would be like for you! In the meantime, enjoy the photographs and "virtual tour" of the home, the photographs of some of the Desert Mountain Club's facilities, and the separate Document with links to a variety of useful websites.
